Hi Mike..
I loved the movie ‘Up’ also. When my husband left nine years ago, I thought my world was going to end but it didn’t. I found Jesus again but this time he became my friend. I’ve been on a beautiful journey with God these past few years. I’m still working on trusting him completely. Like the woman at the well Jesus tells me I will never thirst if I trust him. I heard a quote that says ‘Hell is a thirst that is never quenched”. I’ve trusted in material things, lust, sensuality, etc.…they have never satisfied. God has brought loving, safe people that have filled my heart in God’s way. Mike you have been one of them…thank you.
p.s. I love your red car….it’s fun! Starbucks & movies are the best!!!

Wow - I couldn't have said it or thought it any better than you wrote it Mike. Doug is the one that always had the dreams for us of which they weren't fulfilled. But, I know I have to find my own dream/treasure and determine what is important.

I find the journey of discovery for me right now has replaced any dreaming especially since there are so many paths to take and.... it's so darn hard to figure out which is the RIGHT path.

So, I too seek to determine what and where my "treasure" is. Perhaps it is as simple as just floating in a pool, listening to the kids splashing and screaming in delight on a hot summer day, and sharing a cool drink with a friend :-)

It seems that the 2 worlds collide quite often don't they? You can take a friend to an appointment in your sportscar, right? hehe... and how often do you and a friend go to the movies when you're doing that friend a favor by getting them out of the house? Nah, the dream can't be wrong...
