Irene,

You are a very generous and courageous woman!! thank you for opening your heart up so bravely! I love the quote by Thomas Merton. It's amazing how God uses the simpliest of things to grab our attention and show us something as beautiful as freedom. Take care my friend, great blog....

This is hard to read at 7am on a Saturday when I am struggling with my own depression over choices I made and consequences attached to them that are so painful at times. But I loved what you said about choosing ... each day I can choose to live in the past, or choose to go forward, choose pain or choose acceptance, choose forgiveness or choose anger. Thanks for sharing your thoughts so I could hold them close in my heart today!

Hi there,
Thanks for your wonderful thoughts. You really spoke to my heart about surrender, pride and opening ourselves up to God's will in our life. His absolute love for us is amazing and when we listen to that love and guidance we are so truly blessed. You are such a blessing to me.

You've shared bravely here my sweet friend.

God certainly IS doing a work in you, and as usuall it's from the inside-out. Honestly, your pride wasn't showing a bit and you could have chosen to keep this to yourself with no one the wiser...or as blessed.

I think a bus ride of my own is in order because your line, "I realized it was time to give up my pride and start looking at life in reality versus the illusion I had created that I was better somehow" rang far too true for me.

Thanks so much for sharing your contageous love of God, and opening the curtain so we could all take a peek at a beautiful work of art...in progress. :-)
