It is so difficult to "own" things. It is hard to create the space to bring something in and the energy it can take to upkeep can wear one out, but I think it's worth it. I think. I find you a treasure trove full of nuggets of wisdom, and this piece is no exception. I can relate to this on so many levels; not just from the perspective of community, but also as an individual. I sometimes feel "old and worn out" and "slow and ugly", and I definitely need "a lot of TLC."
